Former local sports host Marc Benarzyk had his afternoon show on WFNZ-AM in Charlotte expanded one extra hour on Monday. He has co-hosted the program with Taylor Zarzour since 2011.
Benarzyk, who now goes by the name Marc James, worked as a sports host at 1400 The Fan WFLL-AM from April 2004 until May 2006. He began at that station as a midday host and was shifted to afternoon drive in the fall of 2004 following the short stints of Dino Costa and Bob Page. He became the morning show host in early 2006 until the station flipped from a sports talk format in May 2006. He recently filled in as a weekend host on the CBS Sports Radio Network during several holiday weekends earlier this year.
