Palm Beach Post high school sports reporter Jeff Greer will leave the newspaper on October 19 and join the Louisville Courier-Journal as the University of Louisville beat reporter. He will mainly cover the basketball and football programs at that school.
Greer, a University of Pittsburgh grad, worked for the U.S. News and World Report as a blogger, web producer and copy editor from the summer of 2008 until June 2010. During that same time period, he was employed by the Washington Post as a correspondent, copy editor and clerk. Greer joined the Palm Beach Post in July 2010 along with Matt Porter when they replaced Jason Leiser, who is now the University of Florida beat writer for that newspaper.
