It was a case of one team dominating the other as the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats blanked the Forest Hill Falcons 52-0 at Bobby Riggs Stadium on Friday night. RPB had 310 rushing yards and 135 passing yards in offense during this District 13-7A game. Forest Hill was held to just 40 yards on offense and only one first down, which happened late in the third quarter, by the Wildcats defense.
The Wildcats scored on their first three possessions of the first quarter. They scored on a four-play, 58-yard drive at 9:45 as Shamar Jackson went around the right end for a 12-yard touchdown.
On the third play of the Falcons next drive, Derick Python intercepted a pass from Forest Hill(2-5, 1-4) quarterback Shannon Patrick at midfield and returned to the Falcons 30. Six plays later, Demarcus Holloway rushed through the middle for a four-yard touchdown to make it 14-0 with 6:12 to go.
Royal Palm Beach(5-2, 3-2) would get the ball back again just one minute later as Patrick was picked off by Cody Taylor. Charles Perry would score on the third play of the Wildcats next possession as he went around the left end from two yards away at 4:09 and extended their lead to 21-0.
RPB compiled 17 more points during the second quarter and began to turn this game into a rout. The margin increased to 24-0 as Devin Wallace kicked a 36-yard field goal on the first play of the quarter.
The Wildcats would have their worst field position midway through the second as they started at their own eight-yard line. On the first play from scrimmage, Toddy Centeio connected with D'vonte Burden with a 50-yard pass. Jackson would sprint through the right side two plays later and score on a 22-yard run with 6:05 remaining in the first half.
The gap increased to 38-0 with 2:16 left as Perry pulled off a 71-yard touchdown run when he rushed down the right side for fifty yards and then cut toward the middle as he avoided several tacklers along with losing one of his shoes.
Jackson scored his third touchdown of the game on a short three-yard run around the right side at 5:34 of the third quarter. Both teams then agreed to a running clock for the remainder of the game.
Holloway made it 52-0 at 9:20 of the fourth quarter when he went untouched on a run down the left sideline and scored from 28 yards away.
