It was early national signing day in Palm Beach County for high school football players on Wednesday. Students were allowed to sign national letters of intent as the date was moved to December 20 from February 7.
Palm Beach Gardens saw defensive back/special teams returner Gurvan Hall go to Miami while defensive end Jarrett Jackson chose Louisville. Benjamin quarterback Jordan Travis will join Louisville and offensive lineman Martin Weisz signed with Virginia.
Two Park Vista players made their decisions. Quarterback John Smith is headed to Holy Cross and wide receiver Atorian Perry goes to Wake Forest. Dwyer safety Cameron Jonas announced Syracuse while defensive back Justin Birchette selected Ohio.
Five players from FHSAA Class 3A state finalist Oxbridge Academy decided on colleges. Wide receiver/safety V'Lique Carter heads to Pittsburgh, defensive back Keidron Smith goes to Mississippi, defensive end Romello Tarver picked Central Michigan, defensive back Jason McCleod signed with Penn and tight end Herman McCray took Georgia State.
Several guys from south Palm Beach County also signed. Tight end Dante Lang of Boca Raton chose Florida while Atlantic defensive back Kenih Lovely agreed to Western Michigan.
Two of the top local offensive lineman made their announcements. Jorden Ogle of Palm Beach Gardens heads to Massachusetts and Jordan Earle of Forest Hill goes to Appalachian State.
