The Brooklyn Nets blasted the Miami Heat 111-87 on Friday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat have a quick turnaround as they travel to Orlando and face the Magic on Saturday night.
Brooklyn(13-22) moved ahead 24-20 after one quarter and outscored the Heat 35-19 in the second to go up 59-39 at halftime. It got worse for Miami(18-17) as they were pummeled 36-21 in the third quarter and trailed 95-60.
Joe Harris had a game-high 21 points along with seven rebounds for the Nets. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson contributed 19 points and seven rebounds while Jarrett Allen fell short of a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Hassan Whiteside helped the Heat with 17 points and eight rebounds. Josh Richardson nailed 19 points for Miami while Goran Dragic dropped in 11 points.
