The Miami Heat finished the 2017 calendar year with a 117-11 victory over the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena on Saturday night. The Heat beat their cross-state rivals the Magic for the second time in the last five days.
Orlando(12-25) raced out to a double-digit lead 32-21 after one quarter and extended it to 66-50 by halftime. The second half would belong to Miami(18-18) as they cut down a 16-point deficit. They outscored the Magic by ten points and trailed 92-86 after three quarters. The Heat went on a 15-5 run in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter to take the eventual lead.
The Heat were led by Tyler Johnson who had a game-high 31 points. Goran Dragic added 25 points with six assists while Kelly Olynyk poured in 17 points. Aaron Gordon contributed 39 points with seven rebounds for the Magic and Evan Fournier drained 23 points.
