The Miami Heat were unable to hold off the Portland Trail Blazers and fell 102-95 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat made a quick stop at home during a one-week stretch on the road.
Miami(13-14) rolled out to a 33-21 lead after one quarter and stayed ahead 60-50 at halftime. The Heat was up 79-70 after three quarter, however Portland(14-13) outscored them 32-16 in the fourth quarter and took the victory.
Wayne Ellington had a team-high 24 points for the Heat while Dion Waiters added 17 points. C.J. McCollum dropped a game-high 28 points for Portland and Damian Lillard compiled 18 points along with six assists.
