The Miami Heat lost to the Atlanta Hawks 110-104 on Monday night at Philips Arena. The loss ended a Heat two-game winning streak. The Hawks, who entered the contest with the worst record in NBA, snapped a four-game winning streak.
Miami(15-15) slipped ahead 30-29 after one quarter and were slightly down 58-57 at the half. Atlanta(7-23) extended their margin with a 15-5 run to 87-76 after three quarters and withheld a spurt by the Heat during the fourth quarter.
Goran Dragic missed his first game this season due to an elbow injury. Josh Richardson led the Heat with 26 points while Dion Waiters added 23 points. Taurean Prince had a team-high 24 points for Atlanta and Dennis Schroder dropped 23 points.
