St. Louis(13-9) had a 1-0 advantage in the top of the fourth. Masyn Winn hit a sacrifice fly to left-center field for Jordan Walker to score.
Miami(11-12) answered back in the bottom of the fourth. Xavier Edwards powered a ground-rule double into left-center field and Kyle Stowers crossed the plate. It was the first run scored by Stowers this season after coming off an injury.
The Marlins took their first lead of the contest 2-1 in the fifth inning. Agustin Ramirez socked a solo home run over the left-center field wall on a 1-2 pitch for his second homer of the year.
The Cardinals evened the game up 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning. They were able to tie it when Walker reached home on a wild pitch.
The Fish regained the lead 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth. Otto Lopez doubled down the left-field line and Stowers scored. Two batters later, Liam Hicks drove in Lopez with a base hit through the left side.
Miami expanded it to 5-2 during the eighth inning. Hicks singled through the right side and Lopez touched home.
The Redbirds added one more run in the top of the ninth. Ramon Urias knocked in Winn on a sacrifice fly into center field.
