The Miami Marlins slammed the San Francisco Giants 9-4 at Oracle Park on Friday night. The Marlins started a six-game California road trip.
Miami(13-13) rushed out to a 3-0 advantage in the top of the first. It was capped by a Liam Hicks two-run home run to right field on a 2-2 count. The Marlins added one run each in the second inning and the third inning.
San Francisco(11-15) surrendered three more runs during the top of the fourth and they trailed 8-0. Connor Norby crushed a three-run homer to left-center field on 1-0 pitch for the Fish. The Giants picked up three runs in the bottom of the fifth and were down 8-3.
