Tigers Eat Up Marlins

     The Detroit Tigers covered the Miami Marlins 6-1 on Saturday at Comerica Park. The Marlins continued their six-game road trip. 
     Detroit(6-9) broke out to a 2-0 left in the bottom of the first. Colt Keith started things with a double down the left-field line to score Kevin McGonigle. Two batter later, Riley Greene drove in Keith on a base hit into right field. 
     The Tigers added three more runs in the third inning for a 5-0 advantage. Greene connected with a three-run homer to right field on a 2-2 pitch. McGonigle and Dillon Dingler scored in front of him on the play. 
     Miami(8-7) got on the scoreboard during the top of the fourth with one run. Connor Norby knocked in Liam Hicks with a sacrifice fly to right field. 
     In the eighth inning, Detroit made it 6-1. Spencer Torkelson drove in Greene on a single into shallow center field.
