Don Mattingly Phillies Interim Manager

     The Philadelphia Phillies have named Don Mattingly as their interim manager for the remainder of the 2026 season. The team fired manager Rob Thomson on Tuesday.

     Mattingly was the manager of the Miami Marlins from 2016 to 2022 and holds the franchise record for managerial wins with 443. He held the manager position with the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2011 to 2015. 

     He was the bench coach of the Toronto Blue Jays from 2023 to 2025. Mattingly was hired by the Phillies as a bench coach back in January.
