Marlins Swim By Cardinals

     The Miami Marlins sailed by the St. Louis Cardinals 4-1 on Wednesday at loanDepot park. The Marlins completed a six-game homestand and have Thursday off.  

     Miami(12-13) scooted out a to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Owen Caissie singled through the left side for Agustin Ramirez to score. Three batters later, Jakob Marsee walked with the bases loaded and Heriberto Hernandez touched home. 

     The Marlins increased it to 3-0 with one run in the fourth inning. Marsee knocked in Leo Jimenez with a base hit through the right side. 

     It became 4-0 for the Fish in the bottom of the fifth. Ramirez singled up the middle and Otto Lopez crossed the plate. 

     St. Louis(14-10) avoided the shutout in the top of the ninth. Ivan Herrera connected with a solo home run to left-center field for his third homer of the season.
