Florida Panthers 2025-26 Season Review

The Florida Panthers completed their 2025-26 campaign last week. Their string of two straight Stanley Cup championships and three Eastern Conference titles also ended.
The Panthers had 40-38-4 record for 84 points. The Cats finished seventh in the Atlantic Division and had the third worst record in the Eastern Conference.
Florida saw a season in which they were decimated with injuries. Panthers captain and center Aleksander Barkov suffered a season-ending injury in the team's first practice during the preseason. He did not participate in any game this season. Right wing Matthew Tkachuk did not get into the lineup until a couple days after the 2026 Winter Classic held at loanDepot park in Miami. He ended up playing in just 31 contests with 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points.
No player on the team reached the 30-goal mark. Sam Reinhart led the Panthers with 29 goals and 32 assists for 61 points. Sam Bennett tied with 32 assists along with 26 goals for 58 points in 2025-26.
Forward Carter Verhaeghe chalked up 25 goals and 30 assists for 55 points. Center Brad Marchand compiled 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points in 52 games. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky had a 27-23-1 record with a 3.07 goals-against-average, .877 save percentage and four shutouts.
