NBC 6 WTVJ-TV sports anchor Adam Kuperstein will be leaving the station and move to WNBC-TV in New York City as a weekend news anchor and weekday news reporter. He will continue as the Sunday late morning host on NBC Sports Radio Network which is based in New York.
Kuperstein, a Syracuse University grad, joined WVVJ-TV in May 2005 as a weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter under Joe Rose. He held that position until December 2011 and was elevated to the position of evening news anchor. Kuperstein was at the post for several years until 2015 when he went back to the sports department as lead sports anchor.
He also had his stints in local radio. He first joined Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM as a weekend host in 2011. Kuperstein was an early afternoon co-host with first Steve Goldstein, then twice with Channing Crowder and finally with Curtis Stevenson from January 2012 until July 2015.
Kuperstein began at Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM in November 2015 as a weekend host and held that post for almost one year. He filled in as an early afternoon co-host throughout 2016 and was never able to take a permanent job at that station due to his time constraint with WTVJ-TV.
