Marlins Come Back On Padres

     The Miami Marlins came from behind to beat the San Diego Padres 8-6 at Marlins Park on Friday night. The Marlins have won 11 of their last 14 games and now are over a .500 winning percentage.
     Giancarlo Stanton was able to get his 48th and 49th home runs of the season during his first two at-bats. He blasted a two-run homer to left field on a 0-1 count during the first inning to give Miami(64-63) a 2-0 lead. Stanton then smashed a solo home run to right-center field in the bottom of the third on a 2-2 pitch.
     Both teams scored in the fourth inning. Carlos Asuaje connected with a two-run home run to right field on the first pitch for San Diego(57-71) to make it 3-2. Stanton got the three-run margin back for the Marlins on a double to left field which scored Mike Aviles and Adam Conley.
     The Padres compiled four runs in the top of the sixth inning to take their first lead 6-5. It was capped on a two-run homer by Jabari Blash to center field on a 1-1 count.
     In the seventh inning, the Fish regained the lead. Marcell Ozuna smashed a three-run home run to left field on a 2-0 pitch. Dee Gordon and Stanton scored in front of him on the play.
