The Booker T. Washington Tornadoes enter Broward County and face the Dillard Panthers at Otis Gray Jr. Memorial Stadium on Friday night. Both schools have make the playoffs on a consistent basis.
Booker T. Washington looks to have a better season than last year. They fell to the eventual FHSAA Class 4A state champion Cocoa during a road loss in the state semifinal. The Tornadoes had captured four consecutive Class 4A state titles from 2012 until 2015. Quarterback Daniel Richardson returns to call the signals on offense.
Dillard was able to capture the District 15 title in Class 6A last season when they beat Boynton Beach in the final three-way tiebreaker ever in Broward County history. The Panthers are known for their strong defense. Look for wide receiver Bryce Oliver to make an impact like he has in the previous two seasons.
