The Miami Marlins got by the New York Mets 3-1 at Citi Field on Friday night. The Marlins have won six of their last seven games.
Miami(59-61) moved ahead 2-0 in the second inning. J.T. Realmuto smacked a two-run homer to left field on a 1-1 pitch and Marcell Ozuna scored in front of him on the play.
The Fish extended their margin to three runs in the top of the third. Ozuna was able to drive in Giancarlo Stanton on a sacrifice fly to center field.
New York(53-67) cut the lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the frame. Wilmer Flores knocked in Asdrubal Cabrera with a base hit to left field.
