WQAM will have a change of their weekday lineup and a new brand name as on Monday. The station will now be known as 560 The Joe WQAM and it stops using the Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM moniker.
The major impact on the station is that the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz will be shifting from middays at Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM and lands on the WQAM midday spot. The program was about to celebrate their 15th anniversary on The Ticket in a couple of weeks. Stugotz, a.k.a. Jon Weiner, has not been heard on WQAM since the early 2000s when he was the afternoon producer for Hank Goldberg along with being a weekend host.
The Joe Rose Show with Zach Krantz remains in morning drive from 6AM to 10AM. The afternoon show with Marc Hochman and Channing Crowder will be on two stations. They will be on four hours in afternoon drive on 790 The Ticket while losing one hour on WQAM with the simulcast from 3PM to 6PM.
There will be a new nationally syndicated sports network on WQAM with ESPN Radio. It will be on middays (Dan Le Batard), early afternoons (Stephen A. Smith), evenings, overnights and weekends. CBS Sports Radio Network moves to their sister station 790 The Ticket.
WQAM will continue to have an assortment of game broadcasts. They have the radio rights to the Miami Dolphins, University of Miami Hurricanes athletics and Florida Panthers.
