The John I. Leonard Lancers host the Palm Beach Gardens Gators in Greenacres on Thursday night. Both schools have been on the outside of the playoff picture in the last several years.
Palm Beach Gardens(1-0) began the season with a 46-0 shutout victory over the Suncoast Chargers on the road last week. The Gators have reloaded with a ton of talent on offense this year. They were able to pick up Dwyer transfers running back Ernest Blackshear and wide receiver Myron Levy. Quarterback Tyler Kolb will call the signals for Palm Beach Gardens.
John I. Leonard(1-0) started off the campaign in Boca Raton as they edged the Spanish River Sharks 35-31. It was a contest in which there were numerous lead changes between both teams. The Lancers are led by their quarterback Jadiel Cruz and he has the ability of precision passing to locations on the field that his wide receivers can get to.
