The Miami Marlins were blanked by the Atlanta Braves 5-0 on Wednesday night at SunTrust Park. Miami(45-80) has lost five straight games and 11 consecutive road contests.
Atlanta(76-52) scored three runs in the second inning. Tyler Flowers tripled to deep right field which scored Josh Donaldson. Former Marlin Adeiny Hechavarria came up next and smacked a two-run homer to left-center field on a 2-2 pitch.
The Braves put up a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth. Ronald Acuna Jr. blasted a two-run home run to center on a 1-2 count with Hechavarria scoring in front of him.
