Major League Baseball released the schedules of all of their 30 clubs for the 2020 regular season. It will be the 28th season for the Miami Marlins in the majors and the ninth year in Marlins Park.
Miami will play 78 games instead of 81 games at Marlins Park in 2020. The Marlins will be the home team when they host the New York Mets from April 28 to April 30 at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Their regular season is front-loaded in South Florida. They play their first seven contests and 13 of their first 19 games at home.
The Marlins will have opening day in Miami on March 26 against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Fish host Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels for two games on April 14 and April 15 to end the long stretch.
Other interleague games at home include against the Seattle Mariners from June 5-7, the Texas Rangers from July 7-9 and the Tampa Bay Rays on September 8 along with September 9.
Miami will face their National League East Division foes at home. They have the Atlanta Braves 10 times, Philadelphia Phillies nine times and Washington Nationals nine times. The Mets will visit six times to Marlins Park and three times to Puerto Rico.
