Former Atlantic Eagles and University of Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Orlando Franklin has been promoted to late morning co-host on KKFN-FM in Denver. He has been a Sunday morning host at that station since August 2018.
Franklin played high school with Atlantic and they were eliminated by St. Thomas Aquinas in the FHSAA Class 5A playoffs three consecutive years from 2004 to 2006. He participated in the final Eagles game ever played at Hilltopper Stadium in 2005.
He then attended the University of Miami and played in 51 games from 2007 until 2010. Franklin was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2011 and stayed there for four seasons. He helped the club win the 2013 AFC Championship and they fell to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 48.
