The Atlanta Braves defeated the Miami Marlins 5-1 at SunTrust Park on Tuesday night. The Marlins are now 0-4 on their current six-game road trip.
The only production Miami(45-79) got was during the third inning. Jon Berti lifted a home run to right-center field on a 2-2 pitch.
The Braves got solo home runs in consecutive innings from Freddie Freeman. He compiled one in the fourth inning to left and another in the fifth inning to right-center field.
Atlanta(75-52) added three more runs in the bottom of the seventh. Freeman knocked in Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies with a single to left-center field. Three batters later, Joyce sliced a base hit into right field for Freeman to score.
