The Miami Marlins have acquired outfielder Starling Marte from the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Fish send pitchers Caleb Smith, Humberto Mejia and Julio Frias to the D-backs in the four-player deal.
Marte joined Arizona for the 2020 campaign after spending his first eight seasons of his major league career with Pittsburgh Pirates. He compiled two home runs, 14 runs batted in and a .311 batting average in 33 games with the Diamondbacks.
