Mets Get By Marlins

     The New York Mets defeated the Miami Marlins 5-3 at Marlins Park on Wednesday night. The Marlins have lost five straight games. The Mets look to sweep the four-game series against the Marlins on Thursday. 
     In the second inning, New York(12-14) took a 1-0 lead. Wilson Ramos hit a sacrifice fly into right field that scored Pete Alonso. 
     The Mets made it 2-0 during the top of the seventh. Luis Guillorme singled to right field and Alonso crossed the plate.  
     Miami(9-9) cut it to 2-1 in the bottom of the frame. Eddy Alvarez was able to score from third on a wild pitch by Justin Wilson. 
     New York regained a two-run lead in the eighth inning. Dominic Smith knocked in Michael Conforto with a double into right field. 
     The Marlins loaded the bases in the bottom of the eight. Alvarez was hit by a pitch and Jesus Aguilar scored on the play. Logan Forsythe came up next and walked for Matt Joyce to tie the contest 3-3. 
     The lead changed again in the ninth inning as the Mets reclaimed the lead 5-3. Conforto cracked a two-run homer to center field on a 2-1 pitch with Brandon Nimmo aboard.
