Marlins Return With Victory Over Orioles

The Miami Marlins returned back to action in the 2020 regular season and blanked the Baltimore Orioles 4-0 at Camden Yards on Tuesday night. It was the first time in nine days that the Marlins were involved in a game. They last played in a contest on July 26 in Philadelphia against the Phillies.
Miami(3-1) made it 1-0 during the top of the fifth. Francisco Cervelli smashed a solo home run to left field on a 3-1 pitch for his first home run with the new club.
In the sixth inning, the Marlins put up two runs for a 3-0 lead. Jon Berti knocked in Jonathan Villar with a base hit into center field. Four batters later, Logan Forsythe came through in his first game with Miami. He hit into a fielder's choice and an error was made by Baltimore(5-4) third baseman Renato Nunez which brought in Berti.
The Fish made it a four-run margin in the top of the eighth. Jesus Aguilar hit a solo shot to left on a 3-0 count for his third homer of the season.
