Dietrich spent the 2019 season with the Cincinnati Reds and had a career-high 19 home runs. He was with the Miami Marlins for six seasons from 2013 to 2018 and played in 608 games with the club.

Derek Dietrich Joins Texas Rangers
Former Miami Marlins player Derek Dietrich signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on Monday. He was immediately called up from their alternate training camp to the major league roster on Tuesday. He had been in the Chicago Cubs 60-man player pool until Sunday.
