Miami Ratings July 2020

Sports talk format radio stations received the monthly ratings for the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market. The ratings period stretched from the middle of June until the middle of July. It would be the final month with no game broadcasts among the local competitors with all pro sports leagues returning from the coronavirus stoppage.
560 The Joe WQAM-AM fell from a 0.7 to a 0.6 in the month. Alex Donno has faired well filling in on the afternoon shift several days a week. It will the final period where the station carried the afternoon program with Marc Hochman and Channing Crowder for three hours. They have done that since the schedule change in early August 2019.
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM moved from a 0.4 to a 0.2 in the period. It was one of the lowest ratings for that radio station in their 16-year history with the sports talk format.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM dropped to a 0.1 after having a 0.3 last month. It was the lowest ratings for WINZ since September 2016. They maintained as the only sports station in the region with play-by-play broadcasts which included NASCAR races from Motor Racing Network during the time span.
Fox Sports 640 South Florida WMEN-AM remained at a 0.0 hole for the third straight month. It looks like the radio ratings services no longer consider this entity as part of the Miami market because their transmitter is based in Royal Palm Beach.
