Roberto Luongo Honored By Canucks

Roberto Luongo will have a ceremony for him at an undetermined date next season by the Vancouver Canucks. He will be placed in their ring of honor at Rogers Arena. There will not be a retirement ceremony to retire his #1 uniform number.
Luongo spent eight seasons with the Canucks and helped them win the Western Conference title in 2011. They lost in the Stanley Cup Final to the Boston Bruins in seven games. He was also designated the captain of the team from 2008 to 2010.
He had two stints with the Florida Panthers that lasted 11 National Hockey League seasons. He left the NHL third all-time with 489 wins as a goalie. Luongo was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame last month with former Canucks teammates Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin.
