South Florida High Schools In State Championship

     Six South Florida high schools reached the state championship game in the 2022 FHSAA Football Playoffs. Ther were eight local teams that played in the state semifinals. Five high schools advanced to the state championship title game in 2021, six made it in 2020 and seven showed up in 2019. 
     All three Broward County high schools were victorious in the state semifinal round. St. Thomas Aquinas, American Heritage and Chaminade-Madonna all won their home games. 
     Three Dade County high schools moved on to the final round with Miami Central, Columbus and Homestead winning. The only representative to lose was True North Academy. 
     There will be no high schools from Palm Beach County that will make the state title game. Palm Beach Central ended up falling short.
