Alvin Gentry Interim Head Coach

Former Miami Heat head coach Alvin Gentry has been named the interim head coach of the Sacramento Kings. The team fired their head coach Luke Walton on Sunday.
Gentry got his first chance of being a NBA head coach when he replaced Kevin Loughery during the 1994-95 season and led the club for 36 games. It did not last long as the Heat were able to get Pat Riley to become their head coach during the offseason.
He had several head coaching reigns in the National Basketball Assocation over the past 25 years. It included stints with the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans.
