Marlins Trade Jorge Alfaro

     The Miami Marlins have traded catcher Jorge Alfaro to the San Diego Padres. The Marlins will receive back either cash considerations or a player to be named later. 

     Alfaro was with the Marlins for the past three seasons. He contributed to Miami reaching the postseason for the first time since 2003. Alfaro had a .244 batting average with four home runs and 30 runs batted in last season.
