Miami Edges FAU

     The University of Miami Hurricanes got by the Florida Atlantic University Owls 68-66 at FAU Arena in Boca Raton on Tuesday night. Both schools began their regular seasons last week. 

     Miami(2-1) broke out to a 34-20 lead by halftime. Florida Atlantic(1-2) battled back during the second half, however they fell short. Hurricanes point guard Isaiah Wong made a layup with 0.7 seconds remaining to take a 68-66 lead. 

     Wong led the Canes with a team-high 18 points. Kameron McGusty scored 14 points while Wooga Poplar added 12 points. Michael Forrest dropped in a game-high 21 points for the Owls. Alijah Martin drained in 17 points and Bryan Greenlee had nine points.
