Pahokee Take Glades Central In Muck Bowl

The Pahokee Blue Devils downed the Glades Central Raiders 28-0 in the 2021 Muck Bowl at Anquan Boldin Stadium in Pahokee on Saturday night. The Blue Devils have won four of the past six Muck Bowl games, but the Raiders still have a 10-4 edge since 2008.
Pahokee(7-1) moved ahead on their first possession of the contest with 6:07 left in the opening quarter. Quarterback Austin Simmons tossed a screen pass to the middle that was tipped by a Raiders defender and running back Jashon Benjamin sprinted down the left sideline for the 33-yard score.
The Blue Devils extended it to 14-0 at the 9:31 mark of the second quarter. Running back Micah Steele busted up the middle on an 11-yard touchdown run.
The Pahokee defense scored with 5:32 to go in the third quarter and made it 21-0. Glades Central(5-5) quarterback Garrison Kepley threw a screen pass that was tipped by defensive lineman Deejay Holmes and intercepted by defensive lineman Otavious Allen. He brought it back to the five-yard line and fumbled it, however Holmes recovered it and walked into the end zone from two yards out.
It became 28-0 for the Blue Devils 19 seconds into the fourth quarter. Steele went through the left side of the left side, dashed to the left sideline and scored from 55 yards away.
