Heat Shut Down Wizards

     The Miami Heat were victorious over the Washington Wizards 112-97 at FTX Arena on Thursday night. It was the first game of a home-and-home series between both clubs. 
     Miami(11-5) started behind early in the opening frame, but they moved to a 21-19 lead after one quarter. The Heat remained in front at halftime 47-40. Washington(10-5) were unable to make a run to begin the second half and trailed 83-70 at the end of three quarters. 
     Jimmy Butler dropped in a game-high 32 points for the Heat. Bam Adebayo fell short of a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Gabe Vincent came off the bench with 18 points while P. J. Tucker had 15 points. Bradley Beal scored a team-high 30 points for the Wizards.
