Denver(10-10) rocketed out to a 32-23 lead at the end of one quarter and had a commanding 63-43 advantage at halftime. Miami(13-8) slightly cut into the lead and trailed 95-78 after three quarters.
Bam Adebayo compiled a double-double with a team-high 24 points and 13 rebounds for the Heat. Kyle Lowry also had a double-double of 17 points and 14 assists. Max Strus added 19 points and Caleb Martin contributed 18 points.
Nikola Jokic put together 24 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists for the Nuggets. Aaron Gordon dropped in 20 points while Bones Hyland scored 19 points.
