The Chiefs dropped Clewiston 37-7 in the regional quarterfinal, stopped Gulliver Prep 29-7 in the regional semifinal, held off American Heritage 26-14 in the regional final and upended Cocoa 45-15 in the state semifinal. Quarterback Brody Palhegyi, who returned to action after missing one contest, will guide their offense down the field. They have Mason Polivka as a capable backup for him. Wide receivers Troy Stellato, Bryson Williams, Davon Kiser, Jesse Anderson, A.J. Jenkins, Gabriel Morgan and Luke Dean can make pass receptions from Palhegyi. Running backs Torrence Miller and Kamari Moulton look to get their rushing attempts.
Bolles(10-2) will attempt to capture a state-record 12th football championship after falling to Booker T. Washington in the 2019 title game. The Bulldogs have outscored their opponents 373-148 this year. They topped The Villages Charter 44-14 in a regional quarterfinal, knocked off Fernandina Beach 35-7 in a regional semifinal, hammered South Sumter 42-7 in a regional final and got by Gadsden County 10-7 in overtime during the state semifinal. Running backs Kade Frew, Myles Johnson, Caden Fordham, Azen Kani and John Mann can get some rushing opportunities from the backfield. Quarterback Gunner Boree can complete passes to wide receivers Davis Ellis, Keaton Thomas, Brett Stambaugh and tight ends Jack Mulvey and Justin Cayenne.
