Miami Central At Dunbar Preview

     The Miami Central Rockets return to southwest Florida for the second straight week and challenge the Dunbar Tigers in Fort Myers. It is a Class 6A regional final between both schools. 
     Miami Central(5-1) enter the contest as the defending FHSAA Class 6A state champions and were limited to only two regular season games this year. They had two play-in wins via forfeit over Immakolee and Archbishop McCarthy. The Rockets moved by Lely 42-16 in the regional quarterfinal and topped Naples 31-21 in the regional semifinal. Quarterback Keyone Jenkins is expected to find wide receivers Yulkeith Brown and Robert McMinn down the field. Running back Amari Daniels will get plenty of rushing attempts for the team. 
     Dunbar(8-2) began the 2020 campaign with three straight wins. They have outscored their opponents 287-117 this season. The Bears blasted Belen Jesuit 38-0 in a play-in contest, beat Island Coast 39-27 in a regional quarterfinal and survived Palmetto Ridge 12-9 in a regional semifinal. Quarterback Daveon Palmer will lead their offense with passes to wide receivers Greg Thomas, Bobby Dennis, Roger Mottley III and Anthony Benjamin. They have options in the backfield with running backs Reginald Davis, LeDeondrick McCutcheon and Moses Cooper.
