The Palm Beach Gardens play the Boca Raton Bobcats for the South Florida Tri-County Class 8A Championship in the silver bracket on Saturday. The contest is being held at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami. It is the only South Florida title game that involves two Palm Beach County schools facing each other.
Palm Beach Gardens(4-2) have a 141-108 scoring advantage against opponents this season. The Gators got by Wellington 24-10 in the first round and knocked off Miami 28-14 in the second round. Quarterback Lynden Moss intends to find wide receivers Chris Presto, Michael Wright, Jacobe Hines and Wisler Phillipe down the field. Running back Jacory Brown and Adrian Santiago will get their rushing opportunities.
Boca Raton(5-1) have outscored their opponents 167-76 this year. The Bobcats handled Coral Springs 28-13 in the first round and shut out Coral Gables 24-0 in the second round. Quarterback Jacob Cashion looks to guide their offense with passes to wide receivers Collin Bender, Hunter Mack, Tyrese Simon and Sebastien Saint-Louis. Running back Trotsky Horton can generate some yardage on carries along with tight end Ashton Gillotte.
