South Florida High Schools In Later Rounds

South Florida high schools in the 2020 FHSAA Football Playoffs dwindled more down last weekend. It went from 10 teams to seven teams still alive.
Large schools played in the regional semifinals while small schools participated in the regional finals. There is one South Florida high school left in every classification from Class 8A to Class 2A.
There will be no Palm Beach County school that will win a state title this year. American Heritage was the lone squad left from the area and they were eliminated.
Broward County did not suffer at all and remained with four teams. St. Thomas Aquinas, Cardinal Gibbons, Chaminade-Madonnna and American Heritage all prevailed in their contests.
Dade County dropped from five schools down to three. Miami Central, Miami Palmetto and Champagnat Catholic won while Miami Edison and Homestead lost.
