Florida Panthers Form Goaltending Department

The Florida Panthers have established a goaltending excellence department. It will be part of hockey operations for the club.
Former Panthers goalie and current special advisor to the general manager Roberto Luongo will oversee the department. Francois Allaire has been hired as a goaltending consultant. He has been part of three Stanley Cup champions with the Montreal Canadiens in 1986 and 1993 along with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007 as a goaltending coach.
Current Florida goaltending coach Rob Tallas will also be part of the department. He has held the post as Panthers goaltending coach for the last 12 years. Their Charlotte Checkers AHL goaltending coach Leo Luongo will be included in the group. Luongo has worked with the Panthers AHL affiliate in Springfield for the past four seasons.
