Chaminade-Madonna And Trinity Christian Academy Title Preview

     The Chaminade-Madonna Lions challenge the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors on Wednesday night at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee for the FHSAA Class 3A state championship. The title game in this classification last year was played in the same town at Gene Cox Stadium. 
     Chaminade-Madonna(8-1) is the defending three-time Class 3A state championships and are playing in their fifth consecutive state title game. They have outscored their opponents 277-95 this season. The Lions smacked Somerset Academy Silver Palms 52-0 in a regional quarterfinal, topped Calvary Christian Academy 38-6 in a regional semifinal, blanked Miami Edison 28-0 in a regional final and edged Berkeley Prep 23-21 in a state semifinal. Running backs Thaddius Franklin, Davion Gause and Jonathan Harris will get rushing attempts from the backfield. Quarterbacks Jaylon Tolbert can connect passes to wide receivers Joshua Jenkins, Edwin Joseph and Michael Edwards.
     Trinity Christian Academy(11-1) is looking to capture their first state championship since 2016. The Conquerors have outscored their opponents 338-132 this year. They downed Baldwin 20-3 in the regional quarterfinal, shut out Episcopal School of Jacksonville 35-0 in the regional semifinal, defeated Florida State University High 45-14 in the regional final and outscored Trinity Catholic 56-33 in the state semifinal. Quarterback Ja'Cory Jordan intends to find wide receivers Marcus Burke, Fred Highsmith, L.J. Kelley, Xander Ross and Runye Norton down the field. They have a strong rushing attack with running backs Treyaun Webb, Kaleb Killian, Christina Ellis, Darnell Rogers and Thomas Fryer.
