The Chaminade-Madonna Lions fell the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors 25-22 on Wednesday night in the FHSAA Class 3A state title game at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The Conquerors won their first state title since 2016 and eighth overall. The Lions tried to capture their fourth consecutive Class 3A state championship.
Chaminade-Madonna(8-2) got the early lead at 8:42 of the first quarter. A high snap went over the head of the Conquerors punter Caleb Stevenson and out of the back of the end zone.
The Lions made it a 9-0 lead with 2:25 to go in the first. Running back Thaddius Franklin took a direct snap, rushed around the right end and scored from two yards away.
It became 16-0 for Chaminade-Madonna with 1:49 remaining in the second. Conquerors quarterback Ja'Cory Jordan had the ball taken away from him by linebacker Dylan Reid and he ran it back for a Lions score.

In the third quarter, Trinity Christian Academy(12-1) broke the shutout at the 8:43 mark and were down 16-7. Running back Kaleb Killian ran out of the wildcat formation and raced to right side for a two-yard touchdown.
The Conquerors compiled three more points at 10:33 of the fourth quarter. Stevenson added a 19-yard field goal and made it 16-10.
Trinity Christian Academy completed erasing the deficit with 6:56 remaining and moved ahead 17-16. Jordan connected a 55-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marcus Burke.
Chaminade-Madonna reclaimed the lead 22-17 with 3:03 left in the fourth. Franklin busted in on a one-yard touchdown run for his second time in the end zone.
The Conquerors scored on their final possession with 48 seconds to go. Burke was able to catch a 26-yard touchdown pass from Jordan on a 4th-and-7 play. They made the two-point conversion and led 25-22.
