NHL 2020-21 Calendar Set

     The National Hockey League calendar for the entire 2020-21 campaign has been announced. The seven teams who failed to make the 2019-20 postseason will launch their training camps on December 31 and the 24 other teams will start their training camps on January 3. 
     The NHL regular season will begin on January 13 and conclude on May 8. The trade deadline will occur on April 12. The Stanley Cup Playoffs will start May 11 and the last possible day that the Stanley Cup Final can end is on July 9. 
     There are several dates of importance following the postseason. All 30 clubs, except for the Vegas Golden Knights, will submit their protected players on July 17 and the Seattle Kraken will make their expansion draft selections of unprotected players on July 21. The first round of the NHL Draft will happen on July 23 and rounds 2 through rounds 7 on July 24 while the free agency period will begin on July 28.
