New Orleans was ahead 32-30 after one quarter and led 60-53 at halftime. Miami could not cut into the lead and trailed 85-72 at the end of three quarters.
Tyler Herro led the Heat with 17 points while Duncan Robinson added 14 points. Zion Williamson compiled a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Pelicans. Brandon Ingram dropped in 22 points in the victory.
