Pelicans Push By Heat

The Miami Heat lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 114-92 at American Airlines Arena on Monday night in a preseason contest. The Heat have one more preseason game on their slate versus the Toronto Raptors in Tampa on Friday.
It was the first time that the Heat participated an NBA game in Miami since the coronavirus pandemic stopped league play. The last time Miami hosted a game at home was during the 2019-20 regular season against the Charlotte Hornets on March 11.
New Orleans was ahead 32-30 after one quarter and led 60-53 at halftime. Miami could not cut into the lead and trailed 85-72 at the end of three quarters.
Tyler Herro led the Heat with 17 points while Duncan Robinson added 14 points. Zion Williamson compiled a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Pelicans. Brandon Ingram dropped in 22 points in the victory.
