South Florida Football Playoffs Championship Results

     The South Florida Tri-County Championships had six title games occur this weekend. All six contests were held at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami. Palm Beach County, Broward County and Dade County won two titles each. 

     #1 Columbus edged #3 Deerfield Beach 27-24 in the Class 8A gold bracket. Both schools met each other in the FHSAA Class 8A state semifinal last year with the Explorers prevailing. 

     #2 Boca Raton upended #1 Palm Beach Gardens 24-17 in the Class 8A silver bracket. It was the only championship contest that had two Palm Beach County schools compete against each other. 

     #1 Atlantic handled #2 Plantation 44-6 in the Class 7A gold bracket. Both teams met back in the 2017 Class 8A regional quarterfinal and the Eagles won.

     #5 Fort Lauderdale upset #3 South Broward 35-6 in the Class 7A silver bracket. It was the only title game with two Broward County schools and that did not have a top-two seed in it. 

     #1 Dillard defeated #4 North Miami Beach 32-6 in the Class 6A-1A gold bracket game. #4 Miami Norland topped #2 Coconut Creek 41-28 in the Class 6A-1A silver bracket game.
