Osceola at Miami Palmetto Preview

The Osceola Kowboys come down from Kissimmee and play the Miami Palmetto Panthers in a Class 8A state semifinal at Traz Powell Stadium on Saturday night. The winner will play for the state championship in two weeks.
Osceola(8-2) has made another long run in the postseason like they previously have several times in the past decade. They have outscored their opponents 328-115 this year. The Kowboys slammed Palm Harbor University 46-3 in the regional quarterfinal, beat Riverview Sarasota 24-20 in the regional semifinal and handled Newsome 17-7 in the regional final. Quarterback Chad Mascoe can toss the ball to wide receivers Izaiah Jean-Baptiste, Massimo Rubera, Ja'keem Jackson Jr. and Malachi Rennie. Running backs Ja'randy Swint and Jamison Jones look to rush the ball.
Miami Palmetto(6-1) escaped with a 10-7 road victory over Vero Beach last week in a regional final. The Panthers shut out Dr. Phillips 10-0 in a play-in game, edged Lake Nona 9-6 in a regional quarterfinal and got by Treasure Coast 23-22 in overtime during a regional semifinal. Brashard Smith will be the main focus on their offense and he can take a direct snap in the wildcat formation. He along with wide receiver Mike Jackson intend to make catches down the field.
