Sequera was known in South Florida as the Spanish language game analyst of Florida Panthers home games for three seasons from 2014-15 until 2016-17. He also became a sports talk host on ESPN Deportes 990 WMYM-AM in the mid-2010s.
He moved on to WLFM-FM in August 2018 and worked as the Spanish language radio game analyst on Cleveland Browns contests. Sequera left Cleveland for New York City and eventually joined NHL.com.
