Sixers Slip By Heat

     The Philadelphia 76ers held off the Miami Heat 113-106 at Wells Fargo Center on Monday night. The Heat remained first in the Eastern Conference while the 76ers leaped to tie the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics for second place. 
     It was Miami's only road contest in a 12-game stretch. The Heat will return to Miami for a four-game homestand.   
     Miami(47-25) got off to a 15-9 start to begin the contest and led 32-26 after one quarter. Philadelphia(44-27) had a slight 57-56 edge at halftime. The Sixers stayed in front 80-79 at the end of three quarters. The 76ers went on a 17-7 run to end the final frame. 
    Jimmy Butler put together a team-high 27 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Heat. Bam Adebayo fell short of a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Kyle Lowry dropped 20 points and Caleb Hill placed in 14 points. 
     Philadelphia did not have James Harden and Joel Embiid play in the game. Tyrese Maxey scored a game-high 28 points in the victory. They had loads of bench scoring as Shake Milton knocked down 20 points while Furkan Korkmaz had 18 points.
